If you like us are continually amazed at all the possibilities for upcycling Tires, this is one idea that is going to blow your mind. We are talking about using an old tire and turning it into a stylish piece of furniture. An Ottoman in fact! Are you interested? You definitely should be as this is a DIY that is very beginner friendly and won’t take a lot of time at all to make.
As you can see from the pictures below it is only a few supplies that are required and look at the result! You can add cast iron rollers or wooden legs to the base or simply leave it as a piece that sits directly on the floor. This casual style of furnishing is great for additional seating and you can pull it into break out areas when required.
You can even jazz it up and add a back so it becomes a chair or cut some glass for the top to take it to a whole new level. This makes a great foot stool but you’ll have to fight the cat for it! What You Need To Make A Tire Ottoman
You need an old tire, plywood, bisonbord or supawood cut to fit the top and, a drill/driver plus assorted bits and a countersink bit, glue gun and glue sticks, 3.5 x 35mm screws, a pair or scissors and of course, thick rope. You’ll also need feet or legs if you wish to make a table. You could also use caster wheels.
